Montgrove College Enrolment Process

  • Parents interested in Montgrove College are welcome to attend an Open Day where they will be given a tour of the College. Parents may also attend an Information Evening. An explanation of the PARED system of education will be given by the Principal at these events. An invitation to apply will be extended to families who have attended an Open Day or Information Evening.
  • Parents interested in enrolling their child at Montgrove College must complete and submit the Enrolment Application Form (in full) together with the supporting documents and payment of the Application Fee before they are assessed for eligibility to progress to an interview.
  • The school will contact parents the year before their child is to start Kindergarten regarding the interview stage. Applications for other school years will be processed as positions become available.
  • Students enrolling in Kindergarten must have turned 5 years by March 31 of the year that they are to start school.

Annual Tuition Fees

  • Tuition fees are charged on a term basis. The school year consists of 4 terms.
  • The above figures do not include the compulsory Annual Capital Levy (previously the Building Levy) – Per Family $ 1,500
  • A 3% discount to Tuition Fees applies where annual school fees and all levies are paid in advance. Please email fees@pared.edu.au by Friday, the 5th of January to request an annual invoice, payment will be due by 31st January 2024.

Sibling Concessions
(applicable to Tuition Fees only)

The Sibling Concessions are calculated on the number of children who attend Montgrove and Wollemi during the year.

Also note that 6th child concurrently enrolled is completely free, no tuition fees or CTL payable.

Financial Hardship

Annual Curriculum and Technology Levy (CTL)
This incorporates an annual Technology (ICT) component of $900 for costs associated with the provision of electronic devices and education software.

  • The CTL will cover the provision of curriculum-related materials, incursions, minor excursions, and primary swimming programs. This will provide more certainty to parents and reduce the need to make extra payments.
  • The CTL excludes camps (e.g., year camps), major excursions, and some elective/music fees.

Edstart
Montgrove College has partnered with Edstart. Edstart is a leading provider of payment and technology services for the education sector in Australia, and is the payment platform we use to receive all Fee payments.

Every family must create an Edstart Plus account before their child commences at Montgrove College. With Edstart you can choose when and how to schedule Fee payments, with flexible options for when circumstances change.

How does it work?

  1. Set up your Edstart Plus account by visiting www.edstart.com.au/pared
  2. You can select the frequency of your Fee payments (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, termly or annually) as well as the date you would like to be charged, and by which payment method you prefer.
  3. Edstart will contact you to finalise the setup for your Edstart Plus account.

If you have any questions regarding the payment of your child’s Fees, please contact Edstart in the first instance by calling 1300 139 445 or emailing contact@edstart.com.au. The customer service team are available Monday-Friday between 8AM-8PM.

As part of our commitment to parents, the school absorbs the administrative fees for your Edstart Plus account, so this service is free for families to use.

Benefits of using Edstart

  • Parents can choose any date/day on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly, termly or annual basis for fee payments to be made
  • Fee payments can be spread over a full 12-month period
  • Changes to the payment date can be made at any time, at no cost
  • Credit Card payments are surcharge-free
  • During difficult times, families can be offered flexible payment schedules and payment holidays can be accommodated
  • Edstart offers families an option to extend the term of their repayments beyond 12 months (there is a cost for this option called Edstart Extend).
  • School fees that are paid in full by 31 January are eligible for a 3% discount.

School Fees & Levies

  • School Fees and Levies are billed on a Term basis and are to be paid per the due dates on the schedule.
  • Families with an overdue balance, will be sent a reminder email requesting payment within seven (7) days of the due date which is printed on each statement.
  • Where fees and levies are not paid within 30 days of the due date the Student’s enrolment may be terminated unless the School is willing to accept other arrangements. Failure to abide by any other agreed arrangements may result in the enrolment of the Student being terminated without further notice.
  • Fees will not be remitted in whole or part if the Student is absent due to illness, leave or suspension.
  • The CTL,
    • Does not cover uniforms or textbooks, camps, major excursions, and certain elective and music charges;
    • Is payable in full for all students; and
    • Is non-refundable and credits will not be issued arising from failure to participate in core programs, illness or cessation of enrolment
  • Annual school fees and levies that are paid in advance by arrangement with the Finance Department, will be entitled to a 3% discount (Tuition fees only).

Pared is not a credit provider under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth) and is unable to offer payment plans. Parents who require financial assistance for the payment of school accounts, should contact their bank or a credit provider.

Notice of Withdrawal

  • If Parents wish to withdraw a student from the School, notice given must not be less than one full term's notice to expire at the end of a term.
  • Notice of withdrawal must be given to the Principal in writing. If the required notice is not given and the School is not reasonably able to immediately fill the student’s place for the relevant term, the Parents must pay a School term’s fees plus GST, in lieu of notice.
  • The fees will be calculated from the fee schedule immediately following the departure date.
  • Upon receipt of notice of withdrawal, any adjustment to the invoiced tuition fees will be made.
  • If a student is withdrawn, any balance due to the school for that Student, must be paid in full, on or before the student’s final day of attendance.
